Cycle fun in „Bavarian“ style

Comfortable bike routes, shady outdoor dining areas, the most famous Bavarian breweries and culinary delights – heart, what more could you want? We cycle through a scenically charming region at first along the Altmühl and Danube River and experience the biggest conjoined hop cultivation area in the world: the Hallertau. Here the cycle paths lead partly along the German Hop Road and partly on the beautiful Abens Cycle Path to the old Episcopal city of Freising.

Mysterious rocky landscapes, picturesque river valleys, vast forests, and cozy Eifel villages turns this bicycle trip into a special experience. In the midst of the tri-border area of the countries of Belgium, Germany, and Luxemburg, a relaxing cycling trip awaits us in the border-crossing nature parks of this region. We discover the Südeifel Nature Park in all its facets and follow the rivers Prüm, Nims, Sauer, Mosel, and Kyll through the beautiful nature landscape. We will be especially fascinated by the interesting fortresses and castles, the rushing Irreler Falls and the Ferschweiler high plateau with the Devil’s Gorge.

This is a different way of exploring Germany! The combination of boat trip and bicycle tours shows us romantic courses of rivers and culturally interesting highlights. We cycle leisurely along the Mosel and Saar on our own or in the company of newly acquainted cyclists. Our daily destination is our swimming hotel – the MS Patria.

Mosel and Saar… a landscape of superlative proportions looks forward to welcoming us! It is here that wine-growers create international top-notch wines and the ancient Romans founded the oldest city of Germany by the name of Trier. We will encounter one of the most successful combinations - that of rich, ancient culture with sometimes lovely and sometimes spectacular nature.

Fresh sea air, East Frisian tea and a hearty "Moin, Moin"...

Hidden moor villages, green pastures, and shining rape fields have shaped this extraordinarily unique landscape. In addition to East Frisian (“Ostfriesen”) tea, “crooked” church steeples and “Häuptlingsburgen” (fortresses of the old chieftains), we are sure to be enchanted by the North Sea Island, Norderney.
