The „Golden City“ will enchant us with her beauty today. Numerous sights, among them Prague Castle (Hradschin) and the famous Karl’s Bridge, await and invite us to take an extensive stroll through the city.

3. Day: Prag - Melnik (approx. 55 km)

Today we cycle along the Moldau River and brave a few minor inclines, before we arrive at Melnik, the centre of Bohemian viticulture. On top of the Schlossberg we enjoy a marvellous view of the confluence of Moldau and Elbe.

4. Day: Melnik - Leitmeritz (approx. 50 km)

Via Roudnice we first arrive in the fortress city of Theresienstadt. From here it is only a few short kilometres till Leitmeritz and its beautiful civil houses.

5. Day: Leitmeritz - Tetschen (approx. 50 km)

On the way to the city of Aussig, which we will reach after approx. 20 km, we admire the castle ruin of Schreckenstein sitting atop a 100-metre-high cliff on the right bank of the river. In the afternoon we cycle to Tetschen where we will stay the night.

6. Day: Tetschen - Pirna (approx. 45 km)

We cross the border to Germany, after which we soon catch sight of the first rocks of the Elbsandstein Mountains and reach the state-approved Kneipp spa town of Bad Schandau. On we go through bizarre rocky landscapes to the weir plant of Königstein, the biggest fortress of Europe. Let’s enjoy an enchanting view over the Elb Valley before we set off for Pirna, which is also called the “portal to Saxon Switzerland”.

7. Day: Pirna - Dresden (approx. 25 km)

The last stage leads us past Pillnitz castle to Dresden. The Zwinger Palace, the Semperoper (opera house), and the Frauenkirche (Lutheran church) are just some of the many sights of this city.
