On this cycle tour we discover Holland in all its splendour. Behind the dunes a diversified back-country appears with beautiful historic cities, countless listed buildings, and interesting museums. Friends of art and culture will definitely get their money’s worth here. Cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Den Haag all have gained their special place in Dutch national history, with each city demonstrating its own unique charm.

1. Day: Bunnik

Individual arrival and accommodation.

2. Day: Bunnik - Amsterdam (approx. 60 km)

Our first stage leads us via Utrecht and along the rivers Vecht and Amstel to Amsterdam. In this metropolitan city the flair of the Golden Age mingles with modern joie de vivre. The historic city centre of Amsterdam invites on a comfortable stroll, on which we discover ancient canal houses, cosy little cafés and flea markets next to modern architecture – let’s be swept up in the variety of this city!

3. Day: Amsterdam - Zandvoort (approx. 44 km)

Today our journey takes us through Zuid-Kennemerland, a colourful and nature-abounding area in the south of the North Sea Canal. Here we meet a fascinating combination of nature reserves, which are sure to boost our energy. Today’s highlight will be the arrival at the coast. Having reached the bathing resort of Zandvoort, we can unwind for the day in one of the numerous beach restaurants or simply stroll along the 9 km long beach. Our hotel is located in an ideal location directly by the sea.

4. Day: Zandvoort - Scheveningen (approx. 40 km)

Today numerous bathing resorts, such as Katwijk, Wassenaar, and surely the most famous seaside resort of the Netherlands, Scheveningen, wait to be explored along the coast. Here we find a fishing port and a long beach promenade with shops, restaurants, and sun terraces. The main attraction is the 381 m long pier. Overnight in a hotel directly by the sea. Who would like to can also choose to travel today’s stage via Lisse and visit Keukenhof, the world’s largest flower garden (open daily from March 22 to May 20, blooming season is dependent on weather conditions). Traditional as well as modern garden architecture make the flower exhibits in the pavilions absolutely unique.

5. Day: Scheveningen - Gouda (approx. 60 km)

Soon we reach Den Haag, the seat of government of the Netherlands, which abounds in sights, museums, possibilities for shopping and other activities. We continue towards the cheese town of Gouda – here we find much history as well, for instance, the late Gothic town hall, the “St. Janskerk”, the cheese scales, and the “Catharina Gathuis” museum. Through such traditional establishments as the pottery, the candle manufacturing company, and the caramel waffle bakery, the atmosphere of bygone days can still be felt today.

6. Day: Gouda - Bunnik (approx. 60 km)

Once again we mount our bikes and enjoy the landscape with its rivers, moor country, and wide polders. Via Utrecht we arrive in Bunnik once again and conclude our cycle tour with a last accommodation.

7. Day: Bunnik
