1. Day: Prag

Individual arrival and accommodation. There is also the possibility of arriving in Passau and making use of our bus transfer (every Saturday at 08.30 – see: services) Prague really has got a lot to offer and a stroll through the many labyrinthine alleys is definitely worth your while. Let’s discover the well-preserved city centre, the historic buildings, the Karl’s Bridge, and Prague Castle overlooking the city.

2. Day: Prag - Sedlcany (approx. 65 km)

After having acquainted ourselves with the „Golden City“ and maybe even gotten a taste for some of the specialties of the famous “Bohemian Cooking”, we start in southern direction and bike through dreamy villages until we reach Sedlcany. We recommend covering the first 25 kilometres of the tour on board of a ship, which takes us through the picturesque ravines of the Moldau.

3. Day: Sedlcany - Pisek (approx. 70 km)

Two castles (Orlik, Zvikov) accompany us today on our way to Pisek. The oldest bridge of the country is living proof of the history of Pisek as one of the most important trading towns dating back to the Middle Ages.

4. Day: Pisek - Budweis (approx. 55 km)

Along the Otava we cycle at first to the „fairy-tale castle Hluboká”. This Tudor castle thrones high above the Moldau and holds precious art treasures. All beer connoisseurs will be familiar with Budweis, which became world-famous on account of its tasty brand of beer.

5. Day: Budweis - Krumau (approx. 35 km)

Along the Moldau once again we continue farther to the medieval city of Krumau, which is certainly one of the highlights of this trip. The picturesque alleyways beneath the mighty castle invite us to linger and stroll through the city.

6. Day: Krumau - Mühlviertel (approx. 78 km)

Today our stamina gets tested a little bit as we bravely make our way up a couple of inclines through the Bohemian Forest, a process that is rendered far less arduous, however, by our deep fascination with the truly wonderful landscape. Cycling along the marvellous route along the Moldau with only few short ascents, we are heading across the border and into the Mühlviertel of Upper Austria.

7. Day: Mühlviertel - Passau (approx. 68 km)

We conclude our tour with a “rolling ride” through the romantic Mühlviertel and cycle the last part along the Danube Cycle Path to the city of three rivers - Passau. You have also the possibility to go by boat from Engelhartszell to Passau (about 26 km, organized by yourselves).

8. Day: Passau

Individual departure or bus transfer to Prague.
