A trip across the land of pleasure...

On this bicycle tour we experience the uniqueness and particular flair of the country: roaring rivers, legendary mountains, idyllic lakes, and the typical Tyrolean hospitality. Let’s enjoy the pleasant climate on the sunny side of the Alps! We cycle on well developed cycle paths from the Eastern Pustertal Valley and the Dolomites to Bozen (the capital of South Tyrol), Lake Kalterer See, the spa town of Meran, and into the Vinschgau.

1. Day: Brixen

Individual arrival and accommodation.

2. Day: Brixen - Hochpustertal - Brixen (approx. 60 km)

After the transfer (by train or bus) to Hochpustertal Valley (Niederdorf/Toblach), we begin our bicycle tour in the heart of the Dolomites, cycle past the Pragser Valley and onwards along the Olanger water reservoir and the Rienz River into the Michael-Pacher-city of Bruneck. On we go through the Eisacktal Valley to Brixen.

3. Day: Brixen - Bozen (approx. 45 km)

We leave the episcopal city in southern direction and cycle along vineyards, until we arrive in the picturesque small town of Klausen. Our path finally leads us into the capital of South Tyrol: Bozen. Here we can pick between numerous afternoon activities, for instance a visit to the “Ötzi” in the museum of archaeology.

4. Day: Bozen - Eppan - Kalterer See - Bozen (approx. 40 - 50 km)

The first section of our route leads us past Sigmundskron Castle to Eppan. Afterwards expects us the wine town of Kaltern, where we absolutely should pay a visit to the South Tyrolean wine museum. Shortly after Kaltern, Lake Kalterer See invites us to take a break before we cycle back to Bozen along the Etsch Cycle Path.

5. Day: Bozen - Meran (approx. 35 km)

Along the „Weinstraße“ (wine route) we cross the biggest fruit-growing regions of South Tyrol (“South Tyrolean Apple”). We cycle to Andrian, where the oldest winery of South Tyrol is located. Via the sites Terlan, Nals and Lana we reach the spa town of Meran.

6. Day: Meran - Mals - Meran (approx. 60 km)

At first the Vinschgerbahn (railway) takes us from Meran to Mals in the Vinschgau. Afterwards we keep cycling slightly downhill along the Etsch Cycle Path, until we reach the smallest town of South Tyrol, Glurns. Finally, our route takes us through orchards back again into the beautiful city of Meran.

7. Day: Meran - Jaufenpass/Sterzing - Brixen (approx. 35 km)

We start our last day of cycling with a shuttle bus transfer from Meran to the Jaufenpass (2094 m above sea level), and farther to Sterzing. There is also the possibility of mounting our bikes on the Jaufenpass and enjoying the unique panorama during the brisk descent into Sterzing. Past on Franzensfeste and the Vahrner lake we reach again Brixen, where we finish our round trip with a last overnight stay.

8. Day: Brixen
