1. Day: Schärding
Individual arrival and accommodation.
2. Day: Schärding - Andorf (approx. 48 km)
Along the Inn we cycle via Reichersberg (Augustinian monastery) and Obernberg (prettiest market place in Austria) to Andorf.
3. Day: Andorf - Wesenufer/Niederranna (approx. 35 km)
Via Enzenkirchen, Natternach, Neukirchen and Waldkirchen we cycle through the magnificent hilly landscape towards the Danube to Wesenufer/Niederranna.
4. Day: Wesenufer/Niederranna – Linz (approx. 57 km)
Today the Danube cycle path leads us past the Schlögener Donauschlinge (“the Danube loop of Schlögen”) to Aschach. Shortly before arriving at Linz it is worth taking a little detour to Wilhering monastery.
5. Day: Linz – Schlögen
In the morning you have the possibility of visiting the state capital of Upper Austria. In the afternoon we take the boat from Linz to Schlögen (time of departure: 14.20 at Linz, time of arrival: 17.55 at Schlögen; daily expect Mondays, between 27.04.12 and 07.10.12 and on saturdays and sundays between 13.10.2012 and 28.10.2012). Alternatively, we can cover the distance from Linz to Schlögen (approx. 54 km) by bicycle.
6. Day: Schlögen – Passau (approx. 42 km)
We ferry over the Danube and bike to Obernzell and onwards to Passau, the “city of three rivers”. St. Stephan’s cathedral, which is home to the biggest organ in the world, is definitely worth paying a visit.
7. Day: Passau – Schärding (approx. 17 km)
Via Wernstein we ride along the Inn cycle path back to our point of departure Schärding. Individual departure or extension of trip.
