This bicycle tour from Brixen to Villach lets us enjoy the Italian flair, the specialties of Tyrol and Carinthia, and many sunshine hours in the Alps!

1. Day: Brixen

Individual arrival in the over 1000 years old, historical bishop town Brixen in the heart of South Tyrol located. 

2. Day: Brixen - Bruneck (approx. 40 km)

We start today by heading north towards Neustift, where the biggest monastery complex of South Tyrol awaits us. Via the Mühlbacher Klause (castle ruin) we reach Pustertal Valley. When we reach Bruneck, our destination for today, we will be inspired by the picturesque old town.

3. Day: Bruneck - Niederdorf/Toblach (approx. 30 km)

The river Rienz shows us the way through the gorgeous scenery of Hochpustertal Valley, where the Drau originates. Accommodation in Niederdorf/Toblach.

4. Day: Niederdorf/Toblach - Lienz (approx. 45 km)

After only a few kilometres, we leave South Tyrol in the morning and cycle to Innichen across the border. We pass Sillian, the principal town of the Upper Pustertal Valley. Accompanied by the impressive scenery of the Dolomites, we follow the Drau farther into the sunshine town of Lienz.

5. Day: Lienz - Dellach/Berg (approx. 39 km)

From Lienz we continue along the river and past Aguntum, an old Roman settlement. At Oberdrauburg (Perchten and alp museum with old mill) we pass the national border to Carinthia and bike to Dellach and the village of Berg, which lies in the valley, respectively. (Parish church of Mariä Geburt with the “Michelele” ossuary).

6. Day: Dellach/Berg - Spittal/surroundings (approx. 49 km)

Numerous palaces, castle ruins and churches border our way today, while Lake Millstätter See invites us for a refreshing swim. Who feels like it can visit the most beautiful Austrian monument of the Renaissance in Spittal, Castle Porcia.

7. Day: Spittal/surroundings - Villach (approx. 50 km)

The last bicycle day leads us into the second biggest city of Carinthia, Villach. Here we can fully devote ourselves to the plentiful sights or make a trip to two heavenly swimming lakes - Lake Ossiacher See or Lake Faaker See.

8. Day: Villach
