1. Day: Hochpustertal

Individual arrival in Niederdorf/Toblach and overnight-stay.

2. Day: Hochpustertal - Oberdrauburg (approx. 65 km)

Since today’s route leads slightly downhill along the river Drau, we quickly cover the distance of this stage. We leave South Tyrol via the Italian-Austrian border and reach Oberdrauburg after passing through Lienz (East Tyrol).

3. Day: Oberdrauberg - Feistritz (approx. 55 km)

After a short transfer to the Gailberg pass we can expect a comfortable descent into Kötschach-Mauthen. Afterwards we follow the Gailtal cycle path which leads us along the Carnic ridge via Hermagor to Presseger Lake. After a recreative break we reach our milestone of today - Feistritz.

4. Day: Feistritz - Bled (approx. 65 km)

Today we sally forth to the national border of Italy (Tarvis can be visited). Soon we leave Italy again and reach Slovenia. Past the famous skiing region of Kranjska Gora the cycle path leads to the romantic lake of Bled.

5. Day: Bled - Cividale (approx. 50 km)

After a short train ride to Most na Soci we reach, by bicycle, the fascinating Socatal and the place of Kobarid, which became famous through World War I. Accommodation in the history-charged city of Cividale, which was shaped by numerous cultures.

6. Day: Cividale - Udine - Cormons (approx. 25 - 65 km)

Today’s stage invites us to stop and taste some first-rate wines at a multiplicity of wine cellars, after which we set off for Cormons with renewed vigour. To our more ambitious cyclists we recommend a longer route via Udine.

7. Day: Cormons - Triest (approx. 52 km)

Today we reach the Adriatic coast and the enchanting Miramare castle, from where we follow the sea to Trieste. This motley seaport is the crowning finale of our journey.
