A holiday in the Salzkammergut equals pure relaxation! Entranced by the beauties of nature, the many smaller and bigger lakes, green meadows and proud mountain ridges, we enjoy the alpine flair and cordial Austrian hospitality.

Itinerary

1. Day: Salzburg

Individual arrival and accommodation.

2. Day: Salzburg - Holzöstersee (approx. 45 km)

Along the Salzach, we cycle downstream as far as Oberndorf ("Silence Night Chapel). Overnight stay in Holzöster/Dorfibm.

3. Day: Holzöstersee - Trumer Seen/Wallersee (approx. 45 km)

The route leads through Ibmer Moor, one of the most beautiful moors of Middle Europe.

4. Day: Trumer Seen/Wallersee - Mondsee/Attersee (approx. 40 - 55 km)

At first, our route leads us via the European nature reserve Wenger Moor, and then further on to Lake Irrsee (also known as Lake Zellersee. At the Lake Mondsee, one of the warmest lakes in the Salzkammergut. Equally worth seeing are the castle und the Benedictine Monastery. Accommodation by Lake Mondee or Lake Attersee.

5. Day: Mondsee/Attersee - Wolfgangsee (approx. 50 km)

Cycle tour via the Weißenbach valley and Bad Ischl to the Wolfgangsee.

6. Day: Wolfgangsee - Scharfling - Salzburg (approx. 60 km)

We cycle half of today’s stage on the Ischler train line (from 1891 to 1957, this line was the historic railway connection from Salzburg to Bad Ischl). Along the lakeshore, the way leads us first into the village of St. Gilgen. After a heady downhill ride to Scharfling, we continue further along Lake Mondsee on the second part of the Ischler train line back to Salzburg.
