1. Day: Innsbruck

Individual arrival in the capital of Tyrol and accommodation.

2. Day: Innsbruck - Strass (approx. 44 km)

After taking an individual sightseeing trip through Innsbruck, we leave the city via the Olympic Village and cycle via Hall and Schwaz towards today’s destination - the township of Strass, which lies at the entrance to Zillertal valley.

3. Day: Strass - Kufstein (approx. 40 km)

Several castles point the way to Brixlegg and Rattenberg, the smallest city of Tyrol. Passing the Kundler Klamm (Kundler Gorge), we arrive first at Wörgl and then at Kufstein (the “Pearl of Tyrol”).

4. Day: Kufstein - Wasserburg (approx. 65 km)

We bike as far as the national border; after the custom office at Windshausen, the cycle path runs along the dam almost all the way to Rosenheim. Afterwards, we cycle through smaller provincial towns to Wasserburg.

5. Day: Wasserburg - Mühldorf (approx. 48 km)

Today we cycle past historic palaces and castles via Gard, Kraiburg and St. Eramus to Mühldorf am Inn. One place of interest is its main square, which is surrounded by beautiful middle-class houses partly dating back to the 15th and 16th century.

6. Day: Mühldorf - Braunau/Prienbach (approx. 55 km)

Via Töging we journey today to Marktl, the birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI. On we go, past the confluence of the rivers Inn and Salzach, to Braunau am Inn. Visitors will be particularly struck by the beautifully restored old town, the city tower from the 13th century, and the parish church with the third highest steeple of Austria. Accommodation in Braunau or Prienbach.

7. Day: Braunau/Prienbach - Schärding (approx. 50 km)

A narrow path leads us into the European reserve Unterer Inn (Lower Inn) today, a nature protective area with a colourful flora and fauna. Via the 1000-year-old town of Obernberg and the adjacent town of Reichersberg, where the cloisters of the Augustinian Monastery invite us for a stay, the cycle path leads us into the Baroque city of Schärding.

8. Day: Schärding - Passau - Schärding (approx. 34 km)

On the day of departure we still have the possibility to cycle via Wernstein along the river Inn to Passau and - after exploring the sights to our own liking - back to Schärding again. If you do not wish to cycle on your last day, we recommend journeying back via Passau and exploring the city.
